This qualification develops skills to coordinate and manage staff and programs for small organisations or programs across the community services sector.
It is a nationally recognised accredited qualification designed to equip students with the practical knowledge and skills to achieve results in line with an organisation's goals and strategic direction. It provides experiential, hands on learning using a project based assessment model.
This pathway focuses on developing skills to effectively manage staff from conflict resolution and supervision to coaching and mentoring. Learn how to lead change and manage innovation and continuous improvement. It is delivered in a comprehensive blended learning approach that incorporates practical face to face workshops with self-directed learning and work placement.
This qualification has been developed in collaboration with New River; a leading learning organisation focused on leadership capacity building. New River draws on Australian research, leadership thinking, community engagement and strengths-based practice to engage individuals, organisations and communities.
To enrol in this qualification, you should:
- Hold a qualification at Diploma level or above relevant to work in the community sector, or
- Have sufficient relevant experience and knowledge of community work, community services or a similar field to indicate likely success at this level of qualification in a job role.
