Diploma of Counselling (CHC51712)

Take the first step to becoming a qualified counsellor

This qualification provides the first step to becoming a fully qualified counsellor.

It is a nationally recognised accredited qualification designed to equip students with the practical knowledge and skills to work in a range of roles in the health, finance and community services sector.

This pathway focuses on the skills and knowledge of counselling and is designed to develop high level communication skills, including referrals, and a case management framework. It is delivered in a comprehensive blended learning approach that incorporates practical face to face workshops with online learning and work placement.

This course enabled me to improve my self-awareness and control my emotions and reactions more effectively in various situations.  My expectation was to communicate more effectively to help my more troubled students, I never dreamed it would lead to me achieving a better understanding of myself and such a feeling of self-growth.

Michael, Diploma of Counselling.

It was very exciting to open the certificate and hold it in my hand.  Thank you so much for all your help and patience throughout the whole of the Diploma Sue.  It was a special time in my life being part of this Diploma course and I will always have fond memories of this experience.

Lyn Rushby, Diploma of Counselling.
